Removal of name from electoral rolls, Cong MLA alleges conspiracy

Indore, Sep 24 (UNI) Congress legislator Premchand Guddu today alleged that district incharge Minister Himmat Kothari was behind removal of name of district Panchayat President Yogita Choudhary from electoral rolls.

Mr Guddu told reporters here today that the conspiracy to remove Ms Choudhary's name was hatched in view of her rising public support in the run-up to assembly by-election in Sanver.

He said the move was unconstitutional and the party would approach the Election Commission against the matter.

Ms Choudhary's name was registered on electoral rolls from three places earlier. She had got her name removed from two places. At present, her name was registered in electoral rolls in Sanver assembly segment but the district administration informed that her name had been removed.
