Mamata will organise hunger rally in Tripura

Agartala, Sep 24 (UNI) Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Bandopadhya will organise a hunger rally on October 8 in protest against the anti-people policies of the leftists in Tripura and West Bengal.

The TMC supremo will address in a public meeting here followed by the rally at afternoon, said state unit TMC president Advocate Arun Chandra Bhowmik here today.

He stated that the left parties had lost the right to remain in power any more in both the state, as corruption and malpractices have now become an integral part of the administration and as a result, the poor people were not getting the results of development.

The party had taken all possible steps to success the programme and ensures the maximum participation of the common people, Mr Bhowmik added.
