High Court orders complete ban on tree felling in HP

Shimla, Sep 24 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh High Court today ordered a complete ban on felling of green trees in the state.

The court observed that since the issue of felling of green trees was pending in the Supreme Court, which is to frame guidelines, the state government should ensure that complete ban was observed in the state until then.

The court was hearing a petition by Ram Lal who prayed that the restriction imposed on felling of trees in Kasauli area of Solan district of the state should be lifted.
