Guj CEO sought information on election duty personnel

Gandhinagar, Sep 24 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Election Officer Vinod Babbar today directed state and Central offices to provide information to the district election administration about the staffers who could be spared for election duty in the forthcoming State assembly election to be held later this year.

He warned that appropriate punitive action would be taken against those officers who failed to provide information.

The employees of State and Central Govenment offices, state-owned companies, government-recognised universities could be called for election duties, a statement of the CEO said.
