Delhi speaker asks govt to appoint Buddhist member
New Delhi, Sep 24 (UNI) Delhi Assembly Speaker Ch. Prem Singh today urged the Government to appoint one member from Buddhist community in the Delhi Minorities Commission to give it proper representation.
In a letter to the Lt Governor, the Speaker requested him that on the lines of the National Commission, the state commission should give equal representation to all minority groups.
He said Buddhists in Delhi are of the opinion that as they have representation in other states, the Delhi Commission too should give them a claim.
