Chief Operational Commander of Albraq killed in Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 24 (UNI) A self-styled Chief Commander (Operational) of Albraq militant was killed by security forces in an encounter in north Kashmir today.

Official sources said Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police and army launched a joint operation at Shiva Sopore, about 55 km from here, in Baramulla district this morning following a tip-off about the presence of militants.

During the operation an encounter took place in which Abu Hyder, the chief commander operational of Albraq was killed.

One AK rifle and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militant.
