BJP aimed at building a great nation: Rajnath

Jabalpur, Sep 24 (UNI) BJP President Rajnath Singh today said the party aimed at building a great nation and not just forming government at the Centre.

Mr Singh, while addressing party workers here, said only the BJP could help in building a great nation.

Praising Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, he said his government was doing a wonderful job.

Mr Singh said the BJP was continuously trying for 33 per cent reservation for women in Parliament.

The matter has been accepted in principle by the party and 33 per cent participation of women has been agreed to in the organisation on the basis of a report submitted by a committee -- headed by BJP leader Sushma Swaraj -- formed in this regard.

An amendment would be made in the party's constitution in this regard in the next party executive meeting.

Mr Singh said praised local MP Rakesh Singh saying he was always struggling for development of his area.

Mr Chouhan, Mr Singh, state Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi, Minister of State Moti Kashyap and Mayor Sushila Singh were among others present.
