Idols immersed marking end of Ganesh Chathurthi festival

Puducherry, Sep 23 (UNI) Over 100 clay idols of Lord Ganesh, including a 21-ft-one erected at Saram, near here, were immersed in the sea this evening, marking the end of the week-long Ganesh Chathurthi festivities in the union territory.

The idols were taken out in a procession through the main thoroughfares of the town, amid tight security.

UNI
