former HPCC chief rules out mid-term Lok Sabha polls

Ambala, Sep 23 (UNI) Former HPCC Working president and Rajya Sabha Member Dr Ram Prakash today said there was no need for the Lok Sabha mid-term polls, asserting that all the constituents of UPA were working in tandem to run the government.

He said that the Congress party was however, well prepared to face any such situation.

He added that the Lok Sabha mid-term poll would have no effect on Congress government in Haryana as was being propagated by the opposition parties.

Ram Prakash was interacting with media after addressing a seminar on Haryana Education and National Development organized by the Haryana College Teacher's Association at the GMN College Ambala Cantonment today.

Responding to the demands made by HCTA President Dr U.V. Singh through a memorandum, he assured that he would raise the issue of increasing the retirement age from 60 years to 62 years with the Chief Minister.
