Attempt to molest girl; youth beaten to death

Chennai, Sep 23 (UNI) A youth was beaten to death when he tried to outrage the modesty of a girl near Hosur in Krishnagiri District of Tamil Nadu.

According to police, the girl was walking through a field when the youth attempted to molest her last evening.

Hearing the girl's cries, her family members rushed to her resuce, caught the youth, tied him to a tree, and thrashed him.

The youth died on the spot.

The family members of the girl were absconding, police said.
