AIMF demands judicial probe into city boy's death
Kolkata, Sep 23 (UNI) All India Minority Forum(AIMF) today demanded judicial inquiry into the death of Rizwan-Ul Rahman, whose body was found on railway tracks yesterday following a tussle over his marriage to a city industrialist's daughter.
Alleging that the youth had been killed by his in-laws, AIMF President Idris Ali said the police was also involved in the incident and demanded that Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattcharjee should resign owning moral responsibility.
A delegation of the forum visited the house of the deceased during the day and met his family members. Rizwan's kin reportedly demanded that the industrialist be arrested.
''We will continue to stage demonstrations and move the court demanding punishment of the guilty,'' Mr Ali said.
Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee and Pradesh Congress Working President Pradip Bhattacharjee visited the house of Rizwan.
Yesterday police fought a pitched battle with local people in the Park Circus area, following a massive road blockade in protest against the death of the youth.
