Nagaland protests Assam Police post in DAB

Kohima, Sep 22 (UNI) The Nagaland Government has protested over the setting up of a Police Outpost between Sonapur and Anaki C sector in the Disputed Area Belt (DAB) by the Assam Police.

Official sources here today said the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Mokokchung district had taken up the matter with its Assam counterpart and asked to immediately vacate Out Post, as the both the states had agreed to maintain status quo.

The DC, lodged a protest with his Sivsagar counterpart in Assam on Thursday, but so far no reply or action had been taken in this regard, sources said.
