Mayawati issued summons in Motor Vehicle Act violation case
Lucknow, Sep 22 (UNI) A court today issued a summons for Uttar Pradesh chief minister and BSP supremo Mayawati in a Motor Vehicle Act violation case.
Special Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (customs) Suresh Chandra has fixed October 21 for the CM to submit her version to the court.
On March 14, a traffic police inspector had challaned an Ambassador car bearing registration number 'UP-32/BH-8886' parked in no-parking zone in the posh Hazratganj locality here.
At that time, Ms Mayawati was not the CM of UP.
The case was registered under crime number 3089/2007 and a chargesheet filed in the court.
