Light to moderate rainfall in Kolkata, adjoining areas

Kolkata, Sep 22 (UNI) Kolkata and its adjoining areas today experienced light to moderate rainfall resulting in considerable fall in temperature.

The Alipore Met office recorded 8.7 mm rainfall during the past 24 hours.

The maximum temperature recorded was 28.2 degree Celsius, four degree below normal, while the minimum was 24.7 degree Celsius, one degree below normal.

The maximum relative humidity was pegged at 95 per cent.

The Met office had forecast light to moderate rainfall over isolated parts of coastal Bengal during the next 24 hours.
