Dismissal demand against DMK minister's for publicity: Baalu

Chennai, Sep 22 (UNI) Shipping Minister T R Baalu today ridiculed the Opposition BJP's demand for dismissal of the DMK Ministers from the Union Cabinet in the wake of controversial remarks made by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M Karunanidhi about Lord Rama and Ramayana.

When asked for his reaction at a press conference here, he said, ''It (BJP) is the opposition party. It has every right to make the demand.'' ''They want to be in news. They are helping you (media) by making the demand,'' he added.

On BJP's demand for fixing ministerial responsibility on Rama Sethu affidavit, Mr Baalu said the affidavit was filed by ASI. ''It does not come under my ministry''.
