Deep depression set to cross in north coastal

Visakhapatnam, Sep 22: The deep depression over West Central Bay and adjoining North-North West Bay of Bengal off South Orissa- North Coastal Andhra Pradesh lay centred about 100 km of South East of Puri and was likely to cross Orissa Coast around noon.

According to a special bulletin from the Cyclone Warning Centre here this morning, the system was likely to intensify further and move in a north-west direction before crossing Orissa coast Between Gopalpur and Puri around noon.

Under its influence, rain or thundershowers would occur at most places with heavy to very heavy falls over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next 48 hours. Squally winds with speed of 45 to 55 kmph were likely along and off North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours. The sea would be rough to very rough with fishermen advised not to venture into the sea.
