Bangalore Doordarshan News Editor K R Prahalad no more

Bangalore, Sep 22 (UNI) Bangalore Doordarshan Kendra News Editor K R Prahalad died here today after open heart surgery.

Prahalad was admitted to Jayadeva Heart Hospital on Wednesday following a heart attack. He breathed his last after undergoing open heart surgery last night.

He was 53 and is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.

Prahalad, during his three decades of service, had served in various capacity in All India Radio, DAVP, Yojana and Doordarshan.

Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy consoled the family members of Prahalad and placed a wreath on his body Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Mallikarjun Kharge, Opposition leader in the Legislative Council H K Patil, Bangalore Press Club President E V Satyanarayana also condoled the death of Prahalad.
