Two burnt alive as oil tanker catches fire

Udupi, Karnataka, Sep 22: Two persons were burnt alive when an oil tanker caught fire after hitting the parapet wall of a bridge at Pangala on NH 17.

According to police, the tanker was proceeding to udupi from Mangalore carrying petroleum products, last night. The driver lost control while crossing the Karur Bridge on the NH 17 leading to the mishap.

The driver and cleaner, who were yet to be identified, were burnt alive in the incident.
