17 students taken ill after consuming contaminated sweets in Jammu

Jammu, Sep 22 (UNI) At least 17 students of different schools were taken ill reportedly after consuming sweets during a function at a government school here, a health official today said.

''Condition of all the 17 students, who were admitted in the hospital with a stomach-ache and vomiting sensations, is stable now,'' medical superintendent of SMGS hospital Yashpal Sharma told UNI.

The children, brought to the hospital by their parents last night, had reportedly consumed some sweets during a function at Rajput High School, Jogi Gate, yesterday.
