Trinamool activists go beserk over power cuts

Barrackpore, Sep 21: Enraged with frequent load-sheddings, the local Trinamool activists today locked some employees of State Electricity Board in Anandapuri sector office near Nona Chandanpukur area in North 24 Parganas.

The activists alleged that disruption of power supply since the past few weeks had become a regular feature and was causing hardship not only for the inhabitants but for the nursing homes and hospitals also.

Later, police intervened and managed to rescue the employees after breaking the lock.

However, no one had been arrested so far.
