Tandberg launches promotion of video conferencing

Bangalore, Sept 21 (UNI) Tandberg, a global provider of visual communication products and services, has launched a 'Tandberg Now' a series of interactive visual communication seminars across the country to promote natural communications through video.

Cpompany's Partner Development Manager Vemun Waksvik told reporters here that the seminar demonstrated how video could empower organisations to become more productive by accellerating decision making, scaling knowledge, unifying organisations and promote work and life balance as it created more opportunities for employees to work from home.

This minimised unnecessary travel, enabling companies to become more environment-friendly, he said.

The seminars also offered a unique platform for participants to experience live demonstrations of video conferencing, besides hands on experiences on the latest product range, he said.

Mr Waksvik said that the company had successfully connected Power Grid of India, headquarter, a few regional offices and ten sub stations through the video conferencing solutions.

The facility in Power Grid of India, one of the largest transmission networks in the world, would help the company employees working in headquarters to communicate with employees working in remote regional offices and substations, he said.

The service had also resulted in significant time and cost saving, he said.
