No discussion on return of Uma and Khurana: Javadekar

Bhopal, Sep 21 (UNI) The BJP today said no discussion regarding return of former Chief Ministers Uma Bharti and Madanlal Khurana in the party took place during the party national executive meeting here.

BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar, while briefing reporters during the second session of the meeting, made the statement while replying to probability of mid-term polls and whether some leaders such as Ms Bharti and Mr Khurana would return to the party in view of its falling popularity.

Mr Javadekar praised Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh's initiative for distributing wheat and rice at concessional rates under the public distribution system.

However, he said, other BJP-ruled states should take a decision in this regard after taking its conditions into consideration.
