Manipur student body condemns molestation of girls in DU

Imphal, Sep 21 (UNI) The Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) today condemned the alleged molestation of four Manipuri students in Delhi University campus on September 16 last.

DESAM secretary Kh Noyon said the Delhi Police had failed to take any action in this regard.

''The victims had approached the police but instead of taking action against the culprits they targetted the girls,'' he said.

The students' body accused that the action of Delhi Police was discriminatory.

They have also urged the Manipur government to take immediate and neccesary action against the culprits.

The miscreants come to attend a Delhi Police recruitment rally at a college of the university.
