Young couple commits suicide in South Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 20 (UNI) A young couple allegedly killed themselves in an apparent 'suicide pact' in the Sangam Vihar area of South Delhi.

While Neelu (20) died after being taken to the AIIMS, where he was rushed after he complaint of 'stomach ache' yesterday afternoon, Khushboo (17), his neighbour, died after being admitted to the ESI Hospital following her 'worsened condition', according to police sources.

The boy, a mechanic, complained of 'stomach ache' after having his food at about 1500 hrs, while the girl's condition worsened soon after she broke her Ramzan fast in the evening.

Both being neighbours, knew each other and initial investigations reveal that they were perhaps romantically involved and reportedly took some poisonous substance in a mutual under standing of sorts, said a police official.

''Police came to know about the incident this morning, through an anonymous call, after the bodies were being taken for cremation, after which the bodies were sent for post mortem.'' The medical report was awaited, he added.
