Woman dies of diarrhoea, toll rises to 6

Ambala, Sep 20 (UNI) The toll in the Diarrhoea epidemic here rose to six with the death of an ex-serviceman's wife today.

The deceased Pushp Lata (55) was admitted to the Military Hospital and was kept in the intensive care unit (ICU) for four days.

Her husband Banarsi Dass, a resident of Sikligar Mohalla falling in the disease affected areas of the Ambala Cantonment, said his wife had fallen sick after consuming contaminated water supplied to the locality where a number of people had suffered.

Meanwhile, the number of sufferers had crossed 200, of which many were still under treatment in the civil hospital.
