PSU engineering units turnover Rs 1582 cr, surpasses target

New Delhi, Sep 20 (UNI) The engineering units of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) achieved a turnover of Rs 1,582.54 crore during August, about 160 crore more than the target fixed for the month.

The output of non-engineering units for the month was Rs 149.11 crore against a target of Rs 128.61 crore, while the turnover of consultancy and contract units was Rs 119.06 crore against a target of Rs 113.96 crore.

The CPSEs that achieved or exceeded their targets during the month were Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd., Bharat Heavy Plates and Vessels Ltd., Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC), Cement Corporation of India, Hindustan Salts Ltd., Tyre Corporation of India Ltd., Engineering Projects (India) Ltd., Hindustan Paper Corporation Ltd., Engineers India Ltd., Sambhar Salts Ltd.,and Nepa Ltd., an official release said here today.
