Man from AP dies while immersing Ganesha idol

Bangalore, Sep 20 (UNI) A 35-year-old youth from Andhra Pradesh drowned in a lake under Kengeri police limits when he had gone to immerse the Ganesha idol.

Police said Dharmapal had gone to the Gandhinagar lake in Kengeri satellite town, on the outskirts of the city last night along with his friends to immerse the idol. Search by his friends went in vain.

His body was found floating in the lake this morning. It had been kept in Victoria hospital mortuary, police added.

So far four people have died during immersion since September 15 Ganesha festival.
