Intruder from Pak shot dead on Punjab border

Fazilka, Sep 20 (UNI) The Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead an intruder from Pakistan near border outpost (BOP) Pattan in the Fazilka sector last night, BSF sources today said.

According to reports, a group of intruders slipped across into Indian territory around midnight. The alert BSF jawans after issuing a warning opened fire, killing one intruder while the rest managed to slip back into Pak-territory.

Preliminary reports indicated that the killed intruder was a Pak-national. No recovery of weapons or drugs was made during the search of the area by the BSF.
