IAS officers welcome probe into corruption charges
Hyderabad, Sep 20 (UNI) The IAS Officers' Association in Andhra Pradesh today welcomed the probe ordered by the State Government in the wake of corruption charges levelled against some top bureaucrats by former Vigilance Commissioner R C Samal.
In a statement here tonight, Association Secretary Satya N Mohanty said the Association reiterated in no uncertain terms its unflinching commitment to maintenance of highest standard of probity in public life, including Civil services.
The Association in a resolution adopted in its Executive Committee meeting yesterday opined that the manner in which the ''entire issue has been projected is likely to have a demoralising effect on the administration''.
It may be recalled that Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy constituted on Monday a three-member committee headed by Chief Secretary J Harinarayana to go into specific allegations made by Mr Samal and recommend appropriate action wherever necessary.
