Haryana govt instructions on pension revision

Chandigarh, Sep 20 (UNI) The Haryana Government has directed Heads of all Departments to revise pensions in left-out cases of pre-1996 pensioners and review the earlier cases of revision of pension in the light of the Supreme Court judgment of November last year.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Finance Department said that according to the judgment, the pension of all pensioners, irrespective of the date of retirement should not be less than 50 per cent of the minimum of the corresponding scale as on January 1, 1996 held by the pensioner at the time of or retirement.
