Four arrested for killing SBI bank manager

Dehradun, Sep 20 (UNI) Four persons were today arrested for allegedly stabbing to death Kaulagarh branch manager of State Bank of India.

Manager Kamal Gairola was found stabbed to death in his branch office late yesterday evening by a bank cashier.

According to the Dehradun SSP Amit Sinha, four persons including Md Ursafa, Subodh Kumar, Bharat Kumar Sharma and Sharun Kumar, all residents of Bihar, were arrested in connection to the murder of the manager. Another accused ChunChun is absconding.

Police recovered Rs 88,000 in cash from them that was reportedly looted from the bank yesterday. Rs 86,000 were found missing and Rs 1,00,000 and Rs 2,000 were found intact.

Several bank employees gheraoed Dehradun Kotwali demanding immediate arrest of the murderers. They also blocked the road at Clock Tower. After they recieved assurance from SSP they withdrew their protest.

Chief Minister Maj Gen (Retd) Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri expressed his condolence towards family of Gairola.
