A company wants to develop port at Baliharchandi

Bhubaneswar, Sep 20 (UNI) A consortium of the Shyam Century Group of Industries, has expressed its keeness to set up an all weather port at Bali Harchandi in Puri.

In a power point presentation before Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here, the representatives of the Rs 3000 crore company expressed its intention to invest Rs 1900 crore in the project in two phases, official sources said here today.

The Kolkotta based company which has carved out a name for itself in steel, cement and plywood sector in Eastern India wanted to invest Rs 1000 crore in the first phase.

However, the Chief Minister asked the company to submit a detail proposal for the consideration of the government.
