3 drug smugglers arrested, Rs 9 cr heroin seized

Lucknow, Sep 20 (UNI) Police have busted a drug syndicate in Varanasi district of Uttar Pradesh with the arrest of three persons and seizure of nine kgs heroin estimated at Rs 9 crore in the international market.

Police said here today, the Kotwali police of Varanasi arrested Raghvendra, Raja Yadav and Chandail Singh and seized the contraband from their possession last night.

A case had been arrested and the trio sent to jail.
