Two migrant labourers killed in road accident in Punjab

Phagwara, Sep 19 (UNI) Three people, including two migrant labourers, were killed in different accidents in and around the city last night.

According to reports received here today, two migrant Bihari labourers died on the spot when a scrap loaded truck overturned near Jassomajra village on Phagwara-Banga road. Police said the truck driver lost his control from the vehicle, when one tyre of the truck suddenly bursted.

In another accident, one middle-aged man, identified as Harbans Lal, was run over by a train near Mauli village on Phagwara-Ludhiana rail section when he was crossing the railway lines last night.

All the bodies were sent to civil hospitals for postmortem.
