Rs 52.15 crore sanctioned to Bengal for uplift of roads
Kolkata, Sep 19 (UNI) NABARD has sanctioned Rs 52.15 crore to West Bengal for construction and improvement of roads in the remote areas of Darjeeling district and Sundarbans region.
With this NABARD had sanctioined altogether 22,064 projects with assistance from, the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) of Rs 4031.82 crore.
According to a release here today, the major sectors, which received support in the state, included rural connectivity, irrigation, and power sector.
