Plea to cancel land allotment near Brahm Sarovar

Chandigarh, Sept 19 (UNI) The Punjab and Haryana High Court today issued notices for January 15, among others to Haryana Urban Development Department, Kurkashetra Development Board (KDB) Chairman on a PIL seeking directions to cancel the allotment of land to certain organisations for construction of a Dharamshala (charitable inn) near the famous Brahm Sarovar in the holy town.

The plea filed by Yadav Samaj Sabha, sought the court's direction for the cancellation of the land allotment through a resolution of the KDB.

It also also prayed the HC for quashing the KDB resolution, claiming that it was made by ignoring claims from others.

Notices have gone to Shaheed Madan Lal Dhingra society through Ashok Arora, Manavtavadi Vishv Sansthan, Sarswat Brahmin Sabha, Haryana kamboj Sabha radaur, Haryana Dasham Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Kurukashetra.
