Patil terms Hacking of Mah Govt Website as 'Serious' matter

Mumbai, Sep 19 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil today termed hacking of the State Government's official website as a 'serious' matter and said CBI would be roped in, if necessary, to track down the culprits.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Patil said no information on the site was tampered with yesterday and the cyber cell of Mumbai police are investigating the matter.

He said preventive measures are being taken to ensure that such an incident does not happen in future.

Patil informed that the State Government will file its reply on september 27 in the Hari Masjid case, where police have been accused of resorting to unprovoked firing in January 1993.
