JD(S) denies reports on withdrawal of Thomas from Cabinet

Kozhikode, Sep 19 (UNI) The Janata Dal (Secular) in Kerala today denied reports on the possibility of withdrawing State Transport Minister Mathew T Thomas from the V S Achuthanandan Cabinet.

Describing the reports as baseless, General Secretary Varughese George said in a release here ''there was no discussion on the issue,'' in the recent Malampuzha meeting of the party, as appeared in a section of the media.

The Kerala unit of the Samajwadi Janata Party(SJP) had expressed its willingness to merge with the JD(S) in the State, the release added.
