Hearing on plea of Kashmir sex scandal accused adjourned

Chandigargh, Sep 19 (UNI) The Punjab and Haryana High Court today adjourned till October 3 the hearing on the plea of former Jammu and Kashmir Minister Raman Mattoo, Mohammed Iqbal Khandey and other accused in Kashmir sex scandal against framing of charges by the District and Sessions judge, Chandigarh, against them.

In their plea, the accused had contended that the offence was triable by a Magistrate and not the Sessions judge as had been wrongly ordered by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar.

The case was transferred to Chandigarh on orders of the Supreme Court.
