ER preaches 'Cleanliness is next to Godliness' through short film
Kolkata, Sep 19 (UNI) Alarmed over the threat of pollution posed to the Indian Railways, the Eastern Railway today took a novel initiative to drive home its ''Cleanliness is next to Godliness'' campaign to the general masses.
General Manager, Eastern Railway(ER), Narendra Kumar Goel today formally released a short documentary on cleanliness, produced by ER for the first time for mass awareness.
Releasing the documentary, Mr Goel said, '' We are pleased to release the short film in two languages and this idea will certainly go a long way to make passengers cleanliness-conscious. '' The film was produced both in Hindi and Bengali languages for making passengers aware of the dire need of maintaining cleanliness in trains and railway premises.
The film will be shown in CCTVs at major railway stations, also in different TV channels and other public gatherings to be organised by ER.
Eminent film director Haranath Chakraborty, Tollywood actor Ranjit Mallik, who played the lead role in the film and senior Railway officers were present on the occasion.

that
we
can
make
Railways
safer
and
more
