DuPont to increase Kevlar capacity over 25 percent
NEW YORK, Sept 19 (Reuters) U.S. chemicals major DuPont Co said on Wednesday it plans to invest 0 million to increase its Kevlar manufacturing capacity by more than 25 percent in the next 3 years.
Kevlar is used in a wide variety of safety and high performance applications, including automotive brakes, body armor and aerospace components.
This represents the largest Kevlar expansion since the product was introduced in 1965, said DuPont in a statement.
