Advani distributes solatium to family of deceased

Tirunelveli, Sep 19 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Senior BJP leader L K Advani today distributed a solatium of Rs One lakh to the father of four Hindu Munnani activists, who were murdered in a clash with the activists of Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam (TMMK) at Tenkasi recently.

The solatium was given to the family on behalf of Tamil Nadu unit of the party.

The father of the four victims, Mr Sorna Thevar was called on the stage by the BJP functionaries and the solatium was handed over to him by Advani.

Senior BJP Leader Ravi Shankar Prasad announced that the party would further give additional Rs three lakh to the family.

Later, Mr Advani consoled the wives of the four victims.
