Punab govt transfers Mansa SSP and 13 other police officers

Chandigarh, Sep 18 (UNI) The Punjab government today ordered the transfer of two IPS and 12 PPS officers, including the SSP of Mansa.

An official release here stated that Mr Ram Singh (IPS), Mansa SSP had been transferred and posted as Commandant 27th battalion of the Punjab Armed Police (PAP) at Jalandhar in place of Tejinderpal Singh. Mr Ram Singh has been transferred on administrative grounds.

The posting orders of Mr Tejinderpal Singh will be issued later. Meanwhile the SSP of Bathinda will hold additional charge of Mansa till the posting of a new incumbent.

Mr Amit Prasad another IPS officers has been posted as AIG, computer.

Amongst the PPS officers who have been shuffled are Sukhminder Singh who goes as Assistant Commandant, 6th battalion of the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB). Sukhdev Singh on promotion will be the new SP, telecommunications at Chandigarh.

Mandhir Singh on promotion has been posted as SP, Intelligence at Chandigarh while Mohinderpal Singh after being promoted has been posted as SP, Barnala. Sukhdev Singh Bhatti has been posted as Assistant Commandant, 2nd IRB while Gurmail Singh on promotion becomes Assistant Commandant 2nd battalion Home Guards.

Sajjan Singh Cheema has been posted as SP (city-III) at Ludhiana while Darshan Singh Mann goes as SP (hrqs) at Bathinda.

Ajmer Singh Romana will be the new SP, Khanna while Mohinder Singh will be assistant commandant of the 5th IRB.

Sudesh Kumar has been posted as assistant commandant of the 5th IRB while Rajinder Sharma has been posted as SP (operations) at Jalandhar.
