'Mercedes-Benz: The India Trail' drives into Goa

Panaji, Sep 18 (UNI) The 'Mercedes-Benz: The India Trail', a unique pan-India drive, has arrived in Goa's capital city here today.

The drive was flagged off at Pune on September 17 and Goa is the first 'port-of-call' for the entourage.

The event features the complete portfolio of diesel cars from the Mercedes-Benz stable in India -- S-Class, C-Class, E-Class, M-Class, the Bio-Diesel C-Class and the Viano. The seven cars in this entourage will cover a cumulative distance of more than 40,000 km, ending on October 10.

Speaking at the press conference at Millennium Motors, the authorized Mercedes-Benz service center for Goa, Dr Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director&CEO DaimlerChrysler India claimed that modern Mercedes-diesels were powerful, economical and environment-friendly.

Hence our portfolio of diesel cars emerged as an obvious choice for the drive, he added.

The drive touches the fantastic diversity and explores the breathtaking locales of the country. It passes through larger parts of south, west and northern India. The platform epitomizes the classic synergies of superior automotive technology and driving pleasure across the country.
