Jubilant signs multi-million dollar contract with Syngenta

New Delhi, Sep 18 (UNI) Jubilant Organosys Ltd, an integrated pharmaceutical industry player, today said it has signed a multi-million dollar agreement with Syngenta for the supply of Pyridines, a raw material in several drug and agro-chemicals.

The new contract starts from early 2008 and covers an extension period of up to five years, during which Jubilant will continue supplying the products to Syngenta.

In August, Jubilant said it had raised its pyridines and picolines capacity to 42,000 tonnes per annum.

The company has the largest integrated manufacturing facilities for these products in India.

Currently, it has more than 150 Pyridine derivatives in its product portfolio, which find application in about 229 APIs and 17 agro-chemicals.
