Chennai police cracks down on lovers at Marina beach

Chennai, Sep 18 (UNI) The Chennai police have issued a code of conduct for couples thronging the world's second longest beach Marina against exhibiting their love in public.

The four guidelines contain restrictions on kissing in public, wrapping the body on partner's dress, hugging and misbehaving and slouching in the sand.

The police action came after it was found that the unseemly behaviour of many young people was also leading to the nuisance of eve-teasing, banned by the law in Tamil Nadu.

A special team, which conducted a raid, also found that the age of the duos ranged from '15 to 45'-- in a specific case the man was 45 and the girl a minor at 15! UNI
