3 Rajasthan police personnel booked

Banda, Sep 18 (UNI) Three Rajasthan policemen, including a sub-inspector, have been booked after an undertrial died in police custody at Kotwali police station here.

ASP Saligram Verma today said wanted criminal Narayan Das of Hamirpur district was arrested on Saturday with the help of the Rajasthan Police.

Das took severely ill during interrogation and was rushed to the district hospital, where he succumbed yesterday night.

Taking cognizance of the matter, a high-level probe had been ordered into the incident.

Meanwhile, a case had been registered against Rajasthan Police sub-inspector and two constables, who were at large.

A manhunt had been launched.
