Three more farmers markets will be set up: Collector

Tiruchirapalli, Sep 17 (UNI) Three more farmers markets will be set up at Tiruverumber, Musiri and Srirangam in Tiruchirapalli district during the year, in addition to the existing four functioning at Manapparai, Thuraiyur, K K Nagar and Anna Nagar, according to District Collector Ahsich Vochani.

Talking to newspersons here today, the Collector said the district administration had recommended 70 village panchayat presidents for this year's Nirmal Puraskar awards.

To a question, he replied that the ongoing underground drainage project in Tiruchirapalli Corporation would be completed by the end of October.
