SP alleges Mayawati accepts Rs 3 crore bribe every hr, demands probe
Lucknow, Sep 17 (UNI) Accusing Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati of accepting Rs three crore bribe every hour, Principal Opposition Samajwadi Party (SP) today demanded a probe into her amassing of property.
''Mayawati has directed all the corrupt officers to extort money from bootleggers, builders, contractors and mammoth industrialists,'' SP state general secretary and former minister Shivpal Singh Yadav charged, while addressing a press meet here this evening.
''The BSP supremo had earlier declared she owns assets worth Rs 12 crore. However, the assets mounted to Rs 50 crore within a span of few months,'' Mr Yadav alleged.
The SP leader maintained, ''the CM owns assets estimated at Rs 200 crore at New Delhi. From where did she amassed this wealth ought to be probed.'' UNI ATI GL AS2138
