Lalu meets Sonia to discuss CBI court's order on fodder scam

New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) Railway Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal president Lalu Prasad today met UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and is believed to have discussed issues including CBI court's ruling on fodder scam, Ram Sethu and the Indo-US nuclear deal.

The meeting, which was also attended by AICC general secretary Ahmad Patel, lasted about one hour.

Though the RJD leader refused to divulge the matters discussed, he admitted that the issue of the CBI Special Court directing him to appear before it in Ranchi on November 23, in connection of the multi-crore fodder scam case, did crop up during the discussions.

However, other important issues like Ram Sethu controversy and the possibility of discussion on the Indo-US nuclear deal at the International Atomic Energy Commission, in view of the Left parties reservation on the issue, are also likely to have been discussed at the meeting.
